Ms. Fried has illuminated the minds of those who worked with her and has often been called on to convene both large and small events; speak as a keynote to instill hope and motivation; and provide national, state, and local training across all disciplines serving wards and dependents of the court.
All too often we become distracted by the multiple demands of our jobs and lose sight of the true focus of our work, the youth. It is apparent that your focus is clear, and your capacity for caring extends far beyond your job description.
As an advocate for children I’m grateful to know that, because of your work, children who are experiencing extreme disruption in their lives have you helping to support them in their education.
Ms. Fried was consistently an active advocate for foster youth. She was action focused and enthusiastic about her work. She ensured that as many resources as possible were marshaled to serve the needs of our foster youth population in San Diego County
I appreciate the work that you are doing to meet the challenge of coordinating the many program elements that provide direct services to foster youth. The activities that you have engaged us in this process are commendable
Ms. Fried has worked with universities and community colleges to develop a program of outreach and support services that increases awareness and opportunities for foster youth to access post-secondary education. College is now an attainable goal for many foster youth.
